Our Story

While working in international site selection, Davie Lee spent countless hours going through websites only to find outdated community profiles, so he enlisted Ryley Iverson to help him make timely city data more accessible for all. They interviewed dozens of economic developers across the country and learned that municipalities do not have the time, budget or technical skills to manage their public data.

Understanding these pain points, the two set out to create Townfolio, whose first product aggregated and visualized public data and was released in November 2015. From automating community profiles to dashboards for economic development, Townfolio has become a community performance platform.
